Homes...Or Economies?

In the realm of real estate you can find houses that range in prices from a little one bed room shack in the squalor of the inner cities of poor third world countries,a couple hundred bucks, to the multi million dollar palaces that only the super rich can afford.

There are five houses in particular that cost quite close to the G.D.P. of some countries, and up to 2009 was listed as the most expensive houses in the world.

In the number five spot there in Bridgehampton New York,lies the "Three Ponds".It is so named due to the three ponds that is present on the property.It comes in at a whopping 80 million dollars.

Number four is a Donald Trump owned 18 bed room behemoth situated in Palm Beach Florida.This seaside property is listed at almost one hundred and thirty million bucks,up to july 2009.

In Surrey of the UK. there is 24 bed room that is on the market at a cool 138 million.Up until january 2010 it still could not find a buyer with the necessary depth of pocket to buy it.It is also estimated that the maintenance cost runs in the region of four hundred thousand dollars,not per year now,per month!This is in the number 3 position.

We go to New York again the city of the most millionaires,where we find the mansion that in the property of Ira Bennett.Mr Bennett is the founder of the Renco Group That we all probably have heard of.tHis house is located in Sagaponack New York.It sits on sixty three acres of prime land, it has twenty nine bedrooms and 39 bath rooms!There is a bowling alley,sports complex and a price tag of in the region of one hundred and eighty million dollars, and captures the number 2 position.

And, in the number one spot there,situated in France,is the Villa La Leopolda.It is located in Nice France.It was the home of Microsofts Billionaire Bill Gates, But is now one of the many holdings of yet another billionaire, Roman Abramovich.It is on ten and a half acres of land and if you are interested in acquiring it, all you have to do is find a mere four hundred million and you are good to go.

It is said that per capita the biggest houses are located in Austrailia with the average floor space at 245 square meters.But none of the top ten most expensive are located there.It is a very interesting fact to note that in Mumbai India there is residential structure on the drawing board. The pending construction of a home that is said to going to be the most expensive house ever built by far.It will be 27 stories high,and just about the same floor space as the Windsor Castle (400,000 square feet),and if you want to build something more expensive you are going to have to have say about two billion bucks to invest.
